Hello again, to our lovely readers. In this article we will discuss three of the most popular Quinceanera themes and help you with ideas on how to bring them to life. We will give you ideas for colors, venues, decor, and, of course, your DRESS!
Paris – Ever popular for lavish celebrations of all kinds, including proms and even weddings, the Paris theme is instantly recognizable because of the ubiquitous Eiffel Tower and black and pink or black and Tiffany blue color scheme. Although these colors are definitely the most popular, you certainly aren’t limited to them. You can create your theme with black and any other color you wish. Indeed, black and gold, black and white, with a pop of color will add a certain sophistication to your style. Also don’t forget about the wide stripes! For your venue and decor, an outdoor garden or terrace would be lovely. If indoors, a nice hotel with high ceilings and elegant art on the walls would be nice. Outdoors, go with umbrella table tops to make it look like a French cafe. You can use glass window frames to write your menu on. Use table cloths and chair coverings in your color scheme and fresh hydrandeas on the table for a touch of classy. Your dress can be either frilly or chic. You can even accessorize with a lace parasol to really bring out the Paris vibe.
Charro – We have covered an extensive amount on this theme in a previous article, but to recap, this theme is going to be highlighting the noble horseman culture of Mexico. It incorporates a ranch, or country styling. You can achieve this with natural decor such as hay, wood, horseshoes, and wagons. The dress should reflect the charro style of dress with embroidery and buttons to match the mariachi style of suit. Wear your hair with real red roses to accent the look further. Your venue should be outdoors if possible, like a barn, stable, or ranch. If it must be indoor, you can use the decor to bring the outdoors inside with haybales and other accessories. You definitely want to have mariachis play at this event. If you can, ride to your event on a horse instead of a car.
Traditional Mexican – This theme is like a traditional Mexican fiesta. Think of all the things which bring Mexico to your mind: colored flag garlands, colorful burro piñatas, guitars, Mexican flags, sombreros, maracas. For your decor, you can incorporate these items into your table settings, the cake table and the guest sign-in table. Have your damas dress in traditional white off the shoulder lace blouses and colorful full skirts and sashes. The guys can wear white peasant shirts and red neckties. You can even break a real piñata at your party, it’s your birthday after all! Mariachi go with any party, so plan on having them play. For your cake, you can choose to have it decorated very colorful, or go with a fruit-topped tres leches cake.
